How does GPS satellite tracking work?
GPS uses a constellation of between 24 and 32 medium Earth orbit satellites that transmit precise radiowave signals, which allow GPS receivers to determine their current location, the time, and their velocity.
From this the positions of your vehicles can be plotted on an online map showing their speed and direction of movement.
In the case of mobile phone tracking it is the position of the phone itself that is tracked so if your employee is out of their vehicle you can see where they are.
All of this information is collated by the tracking software and stored for use in reports or for retrieval at a later date.
